Father's Day BBQ Spice Rub with Free Printables05. June 2017
Well it's probably a cliche that all dads love grilled meat. But many of them do. So for this year's Father's Day gift, give dad the gift of spice... BBQ Spice Rub that is! Mix up a batch of this BBQ Rub for a quick mason jar gift. Or use one of your own spice rub recipes. Then decorate your mason jar or spice shaker with our FREE Printable Father's Day labels and tags. Dad can use this spice mix for grilled ribs or even vegetables.
BBQ RUB INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Fill mason jars or spice shakers. This recipe makes approximately 1 1/3 cups of spice rub. This will fill one half pint jar and one .5oz shaker like our photos. Decorate jars with our Free Printable Father's Day labels and tags.
This spice rub has a sweet and salty taste. You can alter the recipe to add more salt or substitute dried chives for parsley. Or if Dad has his own special blend, just mix up a batch and add the decorations.
